EXPERTISE

Before joining von BOETTICHER in May 2025, Dr. Axel Goetz was an equity partner at a large German law firm with an international focus for decades, including as practice group leader for corporate/M&A and litigation & arbitration. He advises international and German companies as well as private clients on transactions, corporate succession, private succession, restructuring, corporate law, and international commercial and contract law. Dr. Axel Goetz specialises in conflict resolution in family businesses and joint ventures, and, if necessary, litigation, including proceedings for interim relief – in cases of conflict between company management, shareholding groups and the operating company.

PUBLICATIONS

Dr. Axel Goetz has published articles on European and German procedural law as well as on special topics in stock corporation law relating to delisting, in connection with a constitutional complaint he handled in Karlsruhe in 2010 and 2011, which led to the Federal Court of Justice’s delisting ruling being overturned.
